Ecessa soln helps increase bandwidth capacity (CIOL)

PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: Ecessa, a leader in affordable WAN link controllers for small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs), announced that SMEs can now use its PowerLink WAN link aggregation products with low-cost DSL and/or cable links to increase bandwidth capacity by more than 350 per cent with a significant improvement in network performance at the same or lower cost as they pay for a T1 line.

Japan to Push Technology for U.S. High-Speed Rail, Nikkei Says (Bloomberg)

April 30 (Bloomberg) — Japan’s government will send a Transport Ministry official to promote shinkansen technology to the U.S. to have bullet trains used in a network of high-speed rail lines envisioned by President Barack Obama, Nikkei English News reported, without saying how it obtained the information.

Wi-Fi N and WHDI Battle for Wireless HDTV Across Your Home (Fast Company Magazine)

Today semiconductor Amimon announced its new WHDI 2.0 chipset, that will enable compatible hardware to transmit 1080p video 100 feet around your home. Counties awarded grant for broadband planning (The Mammoth Times)

The California Energy Technology Fund (CETF) has approved a $10,000 planning grant for Mono, Inyo and Eastern Kern counties to develop broadband service for residents who live in Eastern Sierra communities.
